Happy Lunar New Year! We just entered the Year of the Rabbit. If you were born in a Rabbit Year (1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999), it promises to be a year of excitement and prosperity — anything but routine for kind Rabbits. Those of us not born Rabbits, they say, can anticipate a year of calm and introspection. However, if your family circumstances do not bring the peace you’re hoping for this year, we at SM&P stand ready to help remedy that as much as possible through unmatched legal assistance and attention to your case.

At the firm, we were off to a good start for 2023 when we learned that, once again, four of our attorneys were recognized for their good work by their colleagues throughout Georgia. Find out more about the honorees — Ryan Proctor, Melanie Prehodka, Dominic Jones, and Myia Robinson. These four standouts are also featured in this month’s Attorney Spotlight.

February is rich in holidays and special recognitions. It’s Black History Month. We commemorate and honor those who have contributed so much to our culture and economy. We will also be remembering past presidents on Presidents Day.

And we wish you and all those you love a Happy Valentine’s Day and remind you it’s a good time to take care of your own heart during American Heart Month.

Despite all there is to celebrate and venerate in February, all our offices will remain open.
