Megan M. Long

Georgia native Megan Long earned her double-major college degree in only three years at the University of Georgia, then stayed to complete her law degree there. Many of her jobs during and after law school were within the state.

She’s worked in the Georgia Legal Services Program and a county public defender’s office, served as a guardian ad litem, and interned and worked as an associate in private law firms. Within these positions, Megan has represented clients in all aspects of litigation, including settlement negotiation and mediation. She is experienced in the hard work that it takes to get a case through to a successful final resolution.

SM&P Starts an Annual Tradition Gala

In lieu of a holiday party, SM&P started an annual tradition of having a firm gala to celebrate its employees and their accomplishments. This year, the gala was held in late February at the Roswell Historic Hall in Roswell. Approximately 72 employees, spouses, friends, and family members attended.

The SM&P team was treated to a surprise announcement at their recent employee gala. Mary Montgomery, the firm’s founding and managing partner, revealed that not only was Lynn Congdon, Executive Assistant – Legal, named Employee of the Year, but the award henceforth would be named “The Lynn Congdon Employee of the Year Award.”

SM&P team members supported and enjoyed the 38th Annual Tribute to Achievement Gala honoring exceptional local women at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel. Every year, 15 community leaders are nominated to be honored as Women of Achievement. One of them was named 2023 Woman of the Year during the festive event.
