SM&P Attends The Fatherless Generation Foundation Fatherhood Expo

The Magnum Opus Honor Society of the University Of Georgia School Of Law supports various non-profits throughout the community, and recently Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor’s associate attorney, Shana Webb Pennywell, donated her Saturday afternoon on Father’s Day Weekend to participate in the Fatherless Generation Foundation’s Fatherhood Expo.

The Fatherless Generation Foundation Inc. (TFGF) is a national non-profit (501c4) organization designed to eradicate fatherlessness. It is their mission to reunite children with their biological fathers all while providing the resources & services that strengthen, support, and increase a commitment to fatherhood and family values.

Shana said, “Father’s Day is not joyous for all fathers, rather it can be a painful reminder of the children they want to be close to but cannot due to strained relationships with the mother.” She was glad she could help out even if it was only for a few hours.

According to Shana it was a way to help the Expo attendees be equipped with information to be able to make informed decisions about moving forward in their children’s lives. Shana, a mother of two young children, said, “The opportunity was offered through the MOHS, and I thought it would be rewarding to help some fathers on Father’s Day. My husband was able to spend some additional time with our kids, and I was able to help some fathers hopefully begin their process to spend more time with their children.”
