SM&P Team Enjoys Ball Ground Concert Together

The SM&P staff recently enjoyed some inner- and intra-office camaraderie by hanging out together at a community concert in downtown Ball Ground, Georgia. “Because the firm wants to invest in growing communities our staff serves,” said SM&P partner Melanie Prehodka, “we sponsored a table for a bit of melodious and rhythmic networking among the team.”

“The Saturday evening concert in this cute little town was so much fun!” said senior paralegal Kristi Culpepper. “It was a great 80s band, Guardians of the Jukebox. The atmosphere was wonderful.”

“We couldn’t help but sing along throughout the evening,” said Melanie. “Some of us were even chair-dancing. Offices that sing and dance together can definitely work well together,” she joked.

Melanie’s remark was followed by a quick retort. “But what happens in Ball Ground stays in Ball Ground,” said Kristi.

“If you don’t mind being judged for your wailing and horrible dancing skills,” said executive assistant Sherri Dombi, “you can show a bit of humility at work when required. And all of us sometimes need to loosen up with our egos and be open to possibilities. That’s a good first step in finding your creativity. This experience reminded us of how much we trust each other. That trust leads to good work for our clients.”
