Take me out to the Ball Game
When the Atlanta Braves played the New York Mets on May 3rd at the new SunTrust Park in Cobb County, 20 Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor baseball fans enjoyed the game in style at the NAPA suite. “I have attended many Braves games (at Turner Field) but nothing compares to the view and experience of watching the game from a suite,” said Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor Receptionist Audrey Bergner. “Being behind home plate was a dream come true and to share the experience with my husband (Jacob) and co-workers made it even more special,” she added.
According to Founder and Partner Mary Montgomery, she wanted to get the (Law Firm) team together outside of the office and when the opportunity presented itself it “was something I couldn’t pass up.”
Whether touring SunTrust Park, watching the game, or enjoying the fellowship, not much could top the “drop-in” visit with past Braves catcher Javy Lopez. His stopping by to say hello, take a few pictures, and sign some memorabilia was “an experience,” said longtime fan and Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor Account Manager Stacy Johnson. Stacy grew up watching the Braves and the one-on-one time with the baseball professional was an extra bonus. Audrey described the experience of talking to a player who helped us (Atlanta) win the World Series Championship as “surreal.”
Enjoying ballgame food of hotdogs, brats, roasted peanuts in the shell and other fan favorites, the employees and guests cheered for their “home” team despite an unfortunate loss (16-5).
