Attorney Lance Dutton Named Partner
Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor is pleased to announce attorney Lance Dutton as its newest partner with the firm, effective September 3, 2019. Lance joined the firm in April of 2011 after serving as an assistant public defender for the Cherokee Judicial Circuit. Lance became experienced and comfortable in the courtroom where he handled more than 1,000 criminal cases, including dozens of jury trials. Lance will continue to further his focus on family law and criminal litigation, being a fighter when needed, and a man of his word who will go the extra mile to protect his clients’ rights.
“Lance has shown his dedication to this firm and its clients for eight years as an associate attorney,” said the firm’s named partner, Ryan Proctor. “His commitment to the firm, skill as an advocate, and ability to get results for his clients have not gone unnoticed. We are happy to welcome him as the newest partner at Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor.”
“I am honored, humbled, and excited to be named partner at Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor,” Lance said. “I will continue to do my best and work alongside the other partners to grow and support the firm as we strive to become the leading family law firm in the Atlanta area.”
“We are delighted to have Lance become a partner with the firm,” said Mary Montgomery, the firm’s managing and founding partner. “Lance knows how to tell his clients’ stories in a compelling manner. He brings a case alive in a way that cannot be ignored by anyone in the courtroom. Judges appreciate attorneys who can lay out what is at stake with such clarity and passion. The results are almost always positive for clients fortunate enough to be represented by counsel like Lance.”
