September has left us but not before officially escorting fall into our area. We are beginning to enjoy hints of autumn in the cooling morning air. After a busy summer at SM&P — both in the office and out in the community — we are looking forward to October and the display of exceptional seasonable colors in beautiful Georgia.

The best way to start fall, according to our team, is with a football spirit kickoff. Peek into our offices around town to discover who the SM&P lineup cheered for during our special jersey showoff day.

We supported jamming for justice again this year to help members of our community. See who went to the Cobb County Justice Jam and why they take part in this special event.

SM&P staff joined volunteers across the area to clean up local rivers through the annual Rivers Alive initiative partnership. Learn about the progress that was made on our local area of the Chattahoochee River.

Have club, will play! Especially if golfing can support one of our local charities. Find out who teed off and who benefited from the Keith Hollman Golf Tournament in Acworth.

We’re pleased to introduce you to this month’s Attorney Spotlight, Catherine “Cat” Sartain. We invite you to take a few minutes to assess Cat’s many qualities that might make her the best attorney for your family law case.

We hope your Halloween surprises you with plenty of treats but just enough tricks to keep you on your toes. Have a safe October 31 enjoying the little monsters out and about in the Atlanta area.

Featured Attorney

Catherine Sartain

Gainesville, Georgia native and UGA School of Law graduate Catherine Sartain worked for a small family law firm there before joining SM&P. “While a smaller firm can have its perks,” she explains, “you end up wearing many hats, often juggling administrative tasks on top of practicing law. I was interested in finding an environment where everyone had a job or area of focus and worked well together, like a well-oiled machine. It makes the process much smoother.
