It’s not uncommon for people to complain of cabin fever throughout February. We admit we did miss the sun and the warm days that allow us to enjoy the natural beauty we appreciate in the Atlanta area. But there was no time to give in to melancholy just because Old Man Winter was wearing out his welcome — we were too busy in the office and the community to pay him much mind. It was decided to look forward to March, capricious as it can be, instead. After all, our local groundhogs predicted that spring is near.

March is Women’s History Month. We celebrate women past, present, and even future who have changed or will change our world for the better.

The wee hours of the 13th require us to set our clocks ahead one hour. In an effort to recover from that circadian disaster, we can wish ourselves and each other the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick’s Day. Let’s all raise a glass of green to the soon-to-arrive spring equinox!

Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition

Ninety-two teams from fifteen regions around the state participated in this year’s Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition. SM&P’s partner Melanie Prehodka supported the regional round on Feb 12 as a volunteer attorney evaluator. Having volunteered with the event for many years, she has become an evaluator the competition depends on.
