Of Mexican descent, and fluent in Spanish, she is a proud Latina who believes everyone has a story, and her first priority is listening to her clients to ensure she may better understand and serve their needs.

Stephany attended the University of North Georgia, Gainesville campus earning her B.A. in Political Science and minor in Sociology, then attended law school at the Charleston School of Law. Raised in a family who instills volunteerism, while in law school, Stephany was involved with activities on and off campus.

Her activities included being a student ambassador and President of the Latino/a Law Students Association, serving on the Dean’s Diversity Council and is proud of her work in the Guardian ad Litem program where she worked closely with adults with disabilities or were otherwise at a disadvantage.

Her clients have described her as compassionate, a great listener, with amazing interpersonal skills and great attention to detail. Stephany passionately believes in providing constant feedback, recommendations, and updates to her clients.

“From a young age I always enjoyed helping others and this fulfilled me in so many ways; now in my legal career I want to continue helping others in their times of need. My goal as an attorney is to use my dedication and deep connections to my roots in becoming a vital advocate in family law issues and working towards educating those affected by divorces, child custody, legitimations, and other family law related issues within my community.

Taking her love of helping people into her personal life, Stephany also officiates marriages. “As another way to engage in the community, I decided to get officiated and discovered my love in marrying couples! It warms my heart to see couples profess their love to one another and make the lifelong commitment of marriage!”

The Gainesville resident enjoys her community and is often found walking with her dogs Milo (Corgi, German Shepard, and boxer mix) and Walt (a hound and beagle mix). Enjoying a work life balance, she and her fiancé also challenge each other to find new pizza spots. According to Stephany, she is always on the hunt for the best New York Style pizza.
