Ashley Baker Osby

Associate Attorney

Ashley is a longtime Atlanta native who has practiced within various areas of law but has found that family law is her career passion. Working at Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor allows her to achieve her goals of providing skilled representation to clients that results in long-term benefits for them and their families.

Ashley feels two of her best assets are making her clients feel at ease during a stressful time and her confidence that she will make the necessary decisions for the best outcome in the case.

Known among her peers for excelling in personal interaction, she is committed to communicating promptly with clients and being available to them. She strives to answer questions as well as calm fears and nerves to put the client at ease during the representation.

In her more than 20 years of experience, Ashley ensures her clients understand options and processes which are particular to their legal matter. Ashley noted her focus applies to the best interest of the child(ren), concentrating on the long-term best for the family as a whole.

“Ashley’s various legal experiences is a benefit to the diversity and knowledge in SM&P which will ultimately support our clients,” said Mary Montgomery, founder and managing partner.

Whether she practiced at other law firms, represented Fulton County constituents as a Superior or Magistrate Court Judge, or represented constituents in Clayton County as a Probate Court Judge, Ashley has always strived to be fair and honest with the utmost integrity. You will also see Ashley on Court TV from time to time as "Judge Baker", as an expert commentator on national trials.

When not traveling and learning new cultures you can find her on the greens playing golf to clear her mind. She serves on the Chastain Park Civic Association Board and the Board of Reynolds Lake Oconee Club. She is also past president of the CHOA Friends Group for her community and a sustaining member of Junior League of Atlanta. Giving back to the community is an important part of her life.

Ashley has four children, two boys and two girls, whom she spends time with at home through their sports interests and school as well as spending time at Lake Oconee.
