Alexandra Strollo

Associate Attorney

Alex almost feels she was born with a law book in her hands. “I’ve wanted to be a lawyer since I was a little girl.” She didn’t just dream about her goal. As is typical for her, she took action leading her to law school.

She earned B.A. degrees in advertising and comparative literature from the University of Georgia, then immediately enrolled in law school at Mercer University. During her second year, Alex interned with the Honorable Philip T. Raymond, III of the Superior Court of Macon, Georgia in Bibb County. Her last year, she worked at the law office of Connie L. Williford in Macon, where she reaffirmed her interest in family law. After earning her law degree, she was quick to pass the Georgia Bar.

When she heard about an opportunity at SM&P, she knew she had to pursue it. “I chose SM&P because I felt something special here. The sense of community that Mary encourages at the firm appealed to me. I know being a lawyer is what we do, but communication with this group, learning their personalities and willingness to help, that becomes who we are.”

“I sensed in Alex qualities that any exceptional firm wants in a team member,” said Mary. “She’s ambitious and knows exactly what she wants.”

Alex describes herself as passionate, resolute, emotionally intelligent, and open-minded. “Even though I’m still learning as a new attorney, I’m ready to heed advice from those around me and take on any challenge,” she said. “I’m not only learning the career, the law, and the best argument, I’m learning how to grow as an attorney. I want to grow. I believe Mary saw that in me.”

Clients describe her as communicative. “There is nothing worse than leaving a client for days without a response,” said Alex. “I like to contact clients on a regular basis and make sure they feel heard, even if we’re at a bit of a standstill.” They also know her as motivated, willing to go the extra mile, attentive, and emotionally aware. “I make a concerted effort to understand my clients and how they respond to certain situations. I know that for the person I’m representing, her or his quality of life is at stake. Nothing is more important than honoring that.”

Outside the courtroom, Alex can be found every Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday watching football, probably taking notes, and, most importantly, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. “I refer to the NFL Draft as my own personal Christmas.” When football is not on, she is likely to be diving into a new book or spending time with friends and family.
