Having experienced her parents’ divorce, Jenni Brown knew that she wanted to be a family law attorney since childhood. She directed family law pro bono services at her law school, and has concentrated on family law and divorce law ever since.
Jenni joined Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor after deciding to move to a larger family law practice. “I gain more knowledge each month at SM&P than in a year at a smaller firm,” she said. “As a team we share our experience and advice, something that I haven’t encountered at other firms.”
Jenni’s clients highlight her extensive knowledge and her ability to relate to their unique personal situations. She believes in constant communications, quick feedback, and full availability – even after other attorneys have called it a day. Jenni is a natural leader, gently guiding clients through this emotional process while setting realistic expectations and proactively driving resolution.
With experience that includes bankruptcy law, Jenni is adept at accurately allocating debt during proceedings to maintain solvency afterward. When asked about her paternity and legitimation experience, Jenni commented, “Since children are involved, the co-parenting plan is critical to a successful outcome.”
When not working with clients, Jenni enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, attending church, and running the river. She has also been involved with the Best Buddies International program, offering friendship and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
